Nicole Blanchette Kinsey graduated from Boston College with a dual degree in Philosophy and Hispanic Studies. After BC she spent a year teaching English in Ecuador through Harvard affiliated WorldTeach where she had the opportunity to live with an Ecuadorian family and travel throughout South America. Nicole’s passion for languages stems mostly from her experiences traveling and living abroad in both Europe and South America. Upon her return to the States she spent time working in the corporate sector in Boston and New York. Throughout her corporate experiences she found herself using her language skills on a regular basis and eventually decided to change her career path in that direction. She earned her MA in Foreign Language Education and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at The Steinhardt School of Education, New York University. Nicole has been at Eleanor Roosevelt High School since February of 2004 teaching Spanish, coordinating community service opportunities for the student body, and running the school's internship program. She is currently on maternity leave, but will continue supporting students with their community service needs and running the internship program.
